Loitering Weapons

Although these new weapons--they can loiter over a battlefield and "sleep" until a target presents itself--are not yet available, they are pretty cool and worth noting.

Do weapons like this ruin the nobility of war, or did such an idea die in WWII? I am not complaining... anything to reduce casulties on our side while improving effeciency. When we are powerfull enough to fight a war where we take few or no casulties, it will be a good day. In the future people will join the army not out of patriotism, but because they want to play with all the grown up toys ahead of time...(nanotechnology suits, boots that enable leaping 20 feet in the air, and Loitering weapons).
Of course, all technological developments will have this effect. One can (and ought to) regret it, yet, you want to win the wars you find yourself in and minimize the damage (especially to your own soldiers), you have no choice: swords will no longer do although, from time to time, you will hear of such combat and then you will be reminded of the horror and the nobility.
