More on Pfc. Jessica Lynch

More detail is emerging about Lynch’s capture by the Iraqi forces. Although wounded she killed a number of Iraqis and continued to fight to the death, as her fellows soldiers were falling around her. Then at the end, in close quarter combat, she was stabbed, then captured. It’s not clear that her arms and legs were broken during the fight or after she was captured. One tough soldier.

Fought to the death? Uh, no. If she fought to the death, she’d be DEAD.

This sounds like urban legend to me. Undoubtedly she was wounded and probably mistreated, but I have my doubts about this report.

I’m inclined to agree. Regardless of what occurred with Ms. Lynch, we can count on the army to play this story up as much as possible --- 19 year-old All-American girl supposedly "fighting to the death" in "defense" of her country, blah, blah, blah... Look for the movie staring Kirsten Dunst or some other Hollywood starlet in about two years.

At the risk of sounding crass, Ms. Lynch’s story is an army recruiter’s wet dream.

you guys are just afraid to admit that girls can fight.

It’s now being reported that Lynch was neither stabbed nor shot.
