More Reason to Hate the French

The Washington Times has a bombshell banner headline this morning: "France gave passports to help Iraqis escape". The intrepid Bill Gertz is on the story, which says the French gave EU passports that allow Iraqis to escape to all parts of Europe.

Well, they emerged from the bloody excesses of the French Revolution with their "virtue intact. Ditto their smug emergence from Versailles following Clemenceau’s victory of reparations on the Huns. Again, their virtue somewhat humbled following V-E day, they nevertheless remained true to their virtuous backstabbing ways during DeGauls "return to nationalism" in the sixties. And who could forget the flyover refusal in 1986?

And we will probably get over this one, too. Why? I dunno. I just dunno.
