Bush’ aggressive campaign

USA Today reports something that really isn’t news: Bush is establishing a campaign mode that is the most aggressive since Reagan’s in 1984; he is trying to set himself up so that by the time the Demos nominate someone, they will not be able to catch up. I would add that it will differ from Reagan’s ’84 campaign by not ignoring Republican candidates across the board. It will not be simply a personal campaign for re-election, in other words, but a campaign for realignment.
