Daniel Weintraub reports that Davis said the following on Larry King about an hour ago; a statement not exactly brimming with confidence. "The voters have been good to me, electing me twice as governor, allowing me to serve 35 million people. I’m very grateful to them, very grateful for the opportunity to try and move the state forward, and whatever their judgment is tonight, I will accept it." I’m so glad!

Me, too. All my doom and gloom notwithstanding (I’m still holding my breath on the courts intervening), I’m happy that California might get some relief. Will Arnold be up to it?

By the way, can it get any more American? I’m sitting on my couch with my wireless laptop, watching Sammy Sosa go yard to tie up a playoff game, and have Fox News, Drudge Report, CNN and No Left Turns on my computer... What a great country!!!

I suppose it beats calling out the California National Guard to retain his power. Of course, with the number of Latin American illegals in the State, I wouldn’t count such a move out quite yet.
