North Korea claims it has developed atomic weapons.
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- North Korea said Thursday it is using plutonium extracted from spent nuclear fuel rods to make atomic weapons, a move that could escalate tensions on the Korean peninsula and raise the stakes in Pyongyang’s standoff with the United States.

Why is it that we are continuely surprised by WMD developments in North Korea? Could it be that the Section at Langley tasked with matters of "nonproliferation of WMD" is too busy trying to get the husband of one of their senior analysts a new job as the Secretary of State for the new Democrat President to figure out what happened to Saddam WMD and status of the "Dear Leader’s" Nuclear Weapons Program?
