The Cleveland Indians aretrying to build a good team. This may not be a good start.

I think the "Im really not gay" line is absolutely priceless.
Baseball fans will NOT overlook this "youthful indiscretion" because it makes him in fact what he says he isnt. Can you imagine what non-genteel spectators will say at ballparks where this young man is playing? He is finished before he starts.
As long as he makes a concerted effort NOT to learn English, hell be fine!
Im a lifelong Indians fan and season ticket holder, to get my bona fides out of the way. If you read thePD article linked from the article you referenced, youll see that the organization and his teammates have handled this thing very well, and have accepted the kid as someone who had a youthful indiscretion and has realized it was wrong. I posted something on this on my own blog yesterday FWIW:
Indians Pitcher Sets it StraightI think the kid showed a lot of guts, and I also think that the American baseball fan (certain Bronx fans excluded) will cut the kid some slack, at least eventually.
