Strengthening Constitutional Self-Government

No Left Turns

Kirkuk

I am in Kirkuk today, completing my tour of the Sunni triangle. The trip has given me much needed internet access, which I am using this to do some much belated research, and to catch up on the world. I will have several new articles, and some blog updates covering the events of the last week soon--hopefully later today.

for those who this relates to;

i received a phone call from my brother in Iraq yesterday(Spc. David T James.) Although the call was short, because of his satellite phone cutting out, he did tell me that him and his plattoon were enjoying 4 days rest somewhere in Iraq away from any "drama" as he called it. he is a member of Echo 196 CAV, stationed at FOB Berstein. Some of his CO/NCOs are Lt. Naum and SGT. Hutton, and Sgt. Black. These names are here for reference for any other members of the plattoon’s families. Just figured to give any 411 I know. So family members, rest easy and catch up on any sleep, lost to previous nights of worry. Our boys are safe and living it up for 4 days.

Thank you, I also talked with my brother (Sgt.Black)yesterday. It was good to hear his voice and know he was doing good.

HOOAH!!! Glad your family members are safe and sound. I take it the phones are a mess right now as phone calls are far and few for me from there.

The unit gets a limited number of R&R passes. This time, there were two troopers who got leave to visit an R&R site in country. It was supposed to be for four days, but for some reason it got cut short, and they only two days. That said, the guys are doing well.
