Waning Days

My days grow short in Iraq, and with that I am bringing together a lot of material which I have gathered over the past 5 months. Accordingly, visit the site often, because there should be a bit more Iraq content than usual on this page over the next week or so.

Thank you for your articles on Iraq. My Son Spc Stephen Blystone is currently at Camp Anaconda with the 512th and My son-in-law, whom I think you have met is SPC Robert Sams is with the 216th are on active duty in Iraq serving honorably.

Oh how we will miss you and your words of wisdom, encouragement and insight into the real story. My brother, Sgt Black, has spoken of you highly. I especially thank you for the photo’s and stories which included him. Sometimes your words were all we had for weeks at a time. Good luck in your future endeavors. I’m sure your family can’t wait for your arrival!

Thank you for all of your articles and photos. We will all miss the updates. My sons class adopted my brother Sgt. Joseph Black as their adopted soldier. The teachers, students and their families have enjoyed getting true accounts of what is going on. I know your family is counting the days till you arrive. Thanks again, have a safe trip home.

Mr. Alt, your insight has been so refreshing. An oasis in the desert. Thank you. We pray for your continued safety and will miss hearing your sincere voice on Iraqi affairs, although we hope to hear more of it once you return home. Hopefully you will be on many more radio and tv interviews. Maybe you can become that controversial reporter that everyone is talking about. At least that way your voice will have been heard and maybe LOUD and CLEAR! Looking forward to tipping a glass and a good steak! Can’t be soon enough.
