Bush Country
Posted by Nathaniel Stewart
To follow Schramms post on the election, heres Horace Coopers latest analysis predicting a Bush November victory. Upshot: The country is just too darn conservative for the Kerry-Edwards ticket to prevail.

Records Counter a Critic of Kerry
By Michael Dobbs, Washington Post Staff Writer
Newly obtained military records of one of Sen. John F. Kerrys most vocal critics, (Larry Thurlow) who has accused the Democratic presidential candidate of lying about his wartime record to win medals, contradict his own version of events.
I read the article. Unless we find that he wrote his own commendation report, this hardly refutes his own account.
But this flamebait is very off-topic; of course, thay usually doesnt matter much to trolls.
I went to college with Horace Cooper. Hes the bomb! If the Republicans were smart, theyd recruit him to run for something--anything. You may have seen him a few times on Politically Incorrect back in the day. Hes a riot. Very bright, funny, and an excellent debater.
Frankly, I find Mr. Coopers article
to be very weak political analysis -- comparable to the work of such amateurs as Don Lambro, Grover Norquist, and Larry Kudlow. He simply asserts, with scant evidence, that this is a conservative country. He in no way addresses evidence to the contrary, let alone evidence that many elections have less conservative results than the ideological leanings of the relevant electorate would suggest.
