Heres a review of a new book by Frank Furedi, a sociologist who thinks that the people who run universities, museums, and other places that are supposed to promote intellectual and cultural excellence have taken the self-esteem gospel hook, line, and sinker. And not with good results for society. This is not a new argument, I know -- its a little bit like Allan Bloom with "data". Still, the review is a good read, and some of the anecdotes are very funny.
