A blog as soporific
Posted by Peter W. Schramm
Ross Douthat hasnt got much good to say about the new Liberal blog run by a bunch of left-academics. It is called left2right.
I looked at it when it started, brought it to your attention, but, alas, Im still waiting for some verve and insight. Its predictable, boring, and, of course, haughty. Maybe it will get better. For now, it is a soporific.

Above was lifted from the left2right blog. It may be out of context, but Im not sure if there was any context to actually lift it from.
Can anyone decipher this? Deciphering this muddy thinking requires a whole seperate blog.

Thanks for the advertisement. Readers who care whether Douthat knows what hes talking about might want to read this
response to his review. But readers should beware that, just as Jabez reports, there are individual sentences on the blog that make no sense when taken out of context.
I havent spent any serious time on the blog, but I can personally vouch for David Schmidtz. Hes no left-winger, but is in fact a libertarian who has written extremely cogent philosophical critiques of the welfare state.
