Bush attends Army-Navy game

President Bush
attended the Army-Navy game yesterday in Philadelphia. He said a few words to each team in their locker rooms, sat on the Army side, then switched to Navy at halftime. Whos going to win?" a reporter shouted from 50 feet away. Bush hesitated a moment and said, "The United States of America." He got "a thunderous welcome," according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Someone who claimed to be at the game had this e-mail at The Corner. "I dont know if you were watching the Army-Navy game or if they showed the halftime show, but when the President changed sides from Army to Navy at the half, a spontaneous chant of "Four more years" rose up from the midshipmen. I cant be sure but I think it spread around the entire stadium. It was probably the biggest assemblage of supporters since, and perhaps including, the convention. Maybe it was inappropriate given our office, but it certainly felt good."
I think the time has come for ALL OF US to begin listening to what our troops are saying and stop listening to the talking heads:

If this is true, and I believe it most likely is, then we owe is to our brothers and sisters and begin holding ALL of our elected officials accountable. Our soldiers deserve this from us, at the very least.
