Roberts as a post-60’s conservative

Here David Brooks’ take on the Roberts pick for the Court. I like his political point--that by selecting Roberts Bush has put the screws to the Demos--because he agrees with my first-sight analysis

and also think that his point about Roberts being a post ’60 conservative is thoughtful and worth pondering. Conservatives are now governing, and they look a bit different than those of us who were bred on the ramparts.
