What questions should be asked of Roberts

For those interested, Matthew Franck, Gerard Bradley, Mark Levin, and I have engaged in a lengthy back-and-forth on this topic over at NRO’s Bench Memos.

this news, I’d be surprised if Roberts doesn’t sail through confirmation with an approval vote nearing 90%. Roberts, from what I hear, is quite popular with the Washington Post social set, which ought to send shivers up any conservative’s "originalist" spine. Unless Roberts is prepared to become a pariah among these socialites he will surely become a migraine for conservatives.

I’m not a betting man, but I’d buy some Tylenol stock if I were a Scalia fan.
