No Left Turns

My apologies

Peter’s illness has left an enormous void here at NLT (no doubt elsewhere as well), one that I couldn’t fill even under the best of circumstances. But my blogging circumstances this week have been less than ideal. I’m currently sitting in the tiny lobby of our resort complex, connecting through their wireless router. I have about an hour a day to catch up with email, cruise around the ’net, and blog. The rest of the time I have to suffer through sun, sand, and pool. But our time in this little share of paradise ends tomorrow, after which I’ll be up to my usual tricks. See y’all soon!

Been wondering where you are. No worries; in fact, stay on vacation an extra week. As I said to Peter a while ago, none of us can keep upyour blogging pace anyway. Might even have to impose a trade quota on you. :)

The gravy train leaves the station bright and early tomorrow morning, as my parents--renting a beach house for the family in celebration of their 50th--pull out. We love this relatively unspoiled island (mostly cottages with only one outcast highrise), but probably can’t afford it on our own dime.

So I’ll be blathering more in the coming weeks.

So, Steven and Joe K.--any updates on how Peter is faring at the hospital in Texas? The man’s vital spirits are so strong, it’s hard for me to imagine him laid low by this grave bilious indisposition which has him in its fell grasp. I’m keeping him in my thoughts and prayers; his family too.
