Hillary Clinton rejects an immediate pullout from Iraq. This reminds me of a joke:
A busload of politicians were driving down a country road when, all of a sudden, the bus ran off the road, and crashed into a tree in an old farmers field.
The old farmer, after seeing what had happened, went over to investigate.
He then proceeded to dig a hole to bury the politicians.
A few days later the local sheriff came out, saw the crashed bus, and asked the old farmer where all the politicians had gone.
The old farmer said he had buried them.
The sheriff asked the old farmer, "Were they all dead?"
The old farmer replied, "Well, some of them said they werent, but you know how them politicians lie."
Punchline = Clinton isnt lying, even if homespun folk might assume she is?
While Im certain that her statement is made with political calculation in mind, I dont think shes being dishonest. Given the Clinton administrations record of committing troops overseas, and his bellicose rhetoric concerning the threat of Saddam Hussein, I dont see how anyone associated with that administration could have opposed the Iraq War, or support a pullout now.
LOL!! :) That is a funny joke Dr. Schramm! Thanks for posting it! I will be sure to email that one to all my freinds you can be sure.
And if Hillary is elected President, then we should call this joke "reprehensible." Until then, however, it is funny.
If Hillary is elected President, we should call our entire country reprehensible.
