Strengthening Constitutional Self-Government

No Left Turns

Let the debate begin

George Will reflects on the Alito nomination, and finds it satisfying, and considers the two most disreputable arguments made by Demos against Alito. My sense is that the Democrats are going to mount a kamikaze charge on the orders of the NARAL high command, and further alienate Catholic voters in the process. Judicial nomination fights have become the great "Lemming Show" of the Democratic Party’s electoral prospects (theme song, w/ apologies to the Seven Dwarves: "Hi-ho, hi-ho, it’s off the cliff we go!").
