Busy

I am having another busy day, hearing Alito in the background--he really is a nerd, isn’t he? perfect for a justice?--I am seeing students all day and doing some last minute preps for my Lincoln Seminar this evening. I also met with my Human Being and Citizen class this morning. It is good to be back in class!

The conservative movement would be nowhere without its nerds. He will be an excellent justice, if we can get him past the Senate Democratic thugocracy.
Have we conservatives come full-circle from the days of Arthur Schlesinger Jr. or what? :)
Im in a quick brake from my class. I heard or watched a bit more Alito, about twenty minutes between 5 and 6 p.m. I think the fellow is terrific, actually. A nerd, certainly, but our nerd. And smart. Very smart. I cannot imagine that Democrats will get any traction in opposing him. Whatever else Bush will be remembered for, he will most certainly be toasted for making two excellent (and perhaps another?) Court appointments.
In the words of Richard Nixon: "Thats not Charlie the Tuna out there. Its Jaws." AKA Schmuck Schumer.
