Strengthening Constitutional Self-Government

No Left Turns

In Case You Care

I’ll be gone for about 3 weeks on the annual family fishing/camping trip--so probably not blogging. I hope we catch a bigger fish than this and I hope there is no news as big as Katrina while we’re gone. Since I won’t really have access to computers or newspapers (and only minimal radio) I’m bringing along my new MP3 player and I’ll continue listening to these fantastic podcasts--particularly the ones on Teaching American history. I’m new at this, so any advice from readers and fellow bloggers on other podcasts I can take would be greatly appreciated!

Baptist seminary professor’s talk show - interesting guy. I do not always agree, but this is a cut above most Christian radio I have heard and he has downloadable broadcasts:

Actually, the pic of your daughter was rather cute and the fish nothing to sneer at. (Of course that assessment is coming from a confirmed non-camper/non-fisherman.)

No recommendations; I assume you’re bringing books.

Enjoy the great outdoors. Look forward to your "what got away!" stories.

Thanks for all the suggestions. More are welcome as I don’t leave until Sunday.

Paul: that fish was certainly nothing to sneer at--and the story of how it was caught rivals Moby Dick! And, according to my daughter, he was quite tasty. But this year we want an even bigger prize. I’ll be bringing books, of course, but nothing meant for pure leisure, I’m afraid. This will be a working trip.

Just keep up on the polls. As predicted by you, it certainly shows Blackwell jumping--backwards.

Have a great Vacay, and ignore polyticks as much as possible!
