If this AP story is to be believed, the GOP has lost its substantial advantage among married women with children. The problems? Iraq and economic insecurity, both of which are reversible, if not in the short run. And then there’s the party’s handling of the Foley mess, which isn’t even mentioned in the article.

The Foley thing, of course, is also a security issue. Security moms and evangelicals re-elected Bush despite Iraq. Things are going to be very different this time, unless something changes very fast.
