I think that Biden is probably telling the truth that many at the Pentagon have completely lost faith in the leadership in the White House, and thus have lost faith in the war effort. I don’t think that Bush is going to get it right. Moreover, I’ve lost confidence in his ability to select people who know what needs to be done, and know how to get about doing it. Condi is hopelessly lost, and she was lame as National Security Advisor. Colin Powell should have had his insubordinate ass canned long prior ago. GW has refused, DELIBERATELY refused to cashier huge elements of the establishment at State, CIA and the Pentagon. So he’s trying to wage war through instruments controlled by liberals hostile to him, his vision, his agenda. Is there any wonder he’s being thwarted.
