The campaign seems to have displaced the so-called war on Christmas, of which there have only been isolated outbreaks, with cooler heads seeming to prevail.

If the "war on Christmas" seems dampened this year (and it's hard to know), perhaps that's because the ACLU'ers have already gotten their way to a very great extent? The important thing is how much Christmas is allowed, not whether things have calmed down. One is reminded of the old saying: "They made a desert and they called it peace."
Since the "War on Christmas" isn't really having a successful surge this season, maybe NLT's team of Diversity & Multiculturalism Skeptics can toss this item around for fun...
