CNN is reporting that Romney is suspending his campaign. He’s expected to make the formal announcement at this afternoon’s session of the CPAC conference.
There’s nothing terribly surprising about this, of course, but it’s sad nonetheless.
Meanwhile, a plausible theory has emerged regarding just who wrote Ron Paul’s newsletters in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

This is the right thing and the brave thing for him to do. He just went up in my esteem several notches. I hope he now gives a speech that is at least as good as his religion speech and one that is, this time, delivered at the right time.
