Strengthening Constitutional Self-Government

Thursday Thoughts

The indispensable Daily Show takes on Berkeley’s crusade against the U.S. Marines. Code Pink looks black and blue after this pasting. I’m starting to think the Daily Show and the Colbert Report can pull me through four years of an Obama Administration.

Meanwhile, Megan McArdle argues, re; Eliot Spitzer, that we should wiretap and spy on ALL of our politicians. She makes a good case.

After reading untold links to Megan over the last several years, I can state "she occasionally makes some good points, but never makes a good case"!
In the linked to item, neither appear.
I put it on par with a recent Manny Ramirez quote;
"That's all I do is read, read, read, read, read," Ramirez said. "I love it. I haven't finished [the book yet], but I don't need to. I love it. I already know what it's all about."

So, why the coronation for Obama for president?

He doesn't even have the Democrat nomination wrapped up, yet many are eager or resigned to gift-wrap the presidency for Obama.

The money quote from the video:

Code Pink Girl: "It's very important to protect free speech, so we clearly have e right to be here..."

Rob Riggle: "If only there was an organization that was sworn to defend that free speech?"

Code Pink Girl: "That would be great."

Haha. The Stewart video was amazing.
