Yuval on Pinker’s Slanderous Bigotry

After reading Levin only one question remains: Is Steven clueless or evil? It’s not a very dignified choice. It’s easy to understand Yuval’s anger: The work of the Kass/Pellegrino Bioethics Council has been much more scientific and dignified than that of almost all of its allegedly scientific critics. (And I must add: I wish McCain could show he knew that.)

"Anti-Catholicism is the anti-Semitism of the intellectuals."

Isn't it interesting what variations on anti-Catholicism Americans can find? Has anyone written on that, besides quips? If the Jew is Europe's bogeyman, is the Catholic ours?

There are a lot of things I could wish that McCain could show that he knows. Would that we could just toss the right kind of brick at our candidate and get the desired results.

So Yuval is too angry, yes. But having now read the Pinker piece, I do think those private e-mails you refer to accusing you of being too easy on it were correct, Peter.
