Jonah Goldberg is cruising Alaska and argues that the 49th state holds a combination of black gold, Republican whipping boy, and an intriguing (not to mention attractive) young governor that--when combined--could set the McCain narrative on sorely needed new arc . . . or should we say, "ark."
The momentum is building, as it should, for this Governor.
She is authentic. In a crazy year when the country is seriously considering a quite underprepared Democrat, she throws a legitimate curveball at the Democrats that cannot handle and her relative inexperience is mitigated by the specter of Obama.
And, she has the extra-added benefit of providing cover for McCain to go ahead and make the switch on ANWR.
Do it, John, do it!
