Strengthening Constitutional Self-Government

No Left Turns

Fight! Fight!

I’m not going to liveblog this thing, but I do think it is interesting that the specified scope of this debate--foreign policy--has obviously been thrown over the side, and it appears to be a general debate on all issues.

Not sure this works for Obama, who rehearsed for foreign policy.

Well, the man/child may have rehearsed for foreign policy, but that didn't prevent him receiving a brutal tutorial this evening.

McCain absolutely schooled him.

Yup, McCain won, despite iffy start and an old-man feel throughout. And of course I dissent to McCain's insane invitation of Ukraine and Georgia into NATO, but Obama didn't have the guts to challenge him on it.

Sad that McCain didn't have the guts to defend the initial Bush decision on Iraq.

Bad, very bad, that the McCain people have not yet formulated a good response to Obama's tax-cut for 95% of the people claim.

And I am so sick of Obama's bullshit hawkishness on Afghanistan...yeah, let's devise a foreign policy based on the need to show that the Iraq invasion decision was wrong.

Carl makes some fine points--most important, though, is the fact that McCain is going to have to have tax cut and health care answers next time.

CARL's last paragraph, ESPECIALLY his first clause, -------------- an absolute bullsye.

"[B]ullshit hawkishness," ----------- AN ABSOLUTE BULLSEYE!
