Radical Redistribution and a Radical Court

These are the real objectives of an Obama Administration according to our own, Robert Alt in an article today in the New York Post. Alt, a former law student of Obama’s at the University of Chicago, carefully examines Obama’s statements in the now-famous PBS interview wherein Obama describes his views about the court and redistribution. If Obama does not want redistribution to take place through a radical court, it is not at all clear that he does not want it to take place alongside of one. Alt also finds Cass Sunstein’s spin to be unimpressive though not surprising. Sunstein, Alt notes, is also the guy who argues that people ought not to complain when government takes for the purpose of redistribution because government, in making markets and wealth possible, ought to have some claim on both for the purposes it deems important. A right winger in a right-wing think tank straining to squeeze any possible socialist intent from a few of Obama's words seven years ago, even while admitting Obama does not promote the ideas Alt is straining to have his reader hear. You might as well go back to the Reverend Wright theme. That will at least resonate further with the 'Muricans you seem to be trying to sway with this stuff.

With all due respect, "ren," I would think that the author actually knowing Obama may give him some insight into Obama's views.
