. . . again! This time she takes on Obama and what will be his self-sabotaging tax policy . . . self-sabotaging, that is unless she, and others who agree with her, can figure out a way for him to gracefully get out of the foolish things he’s promised to do.

America will be far better off, in the long run, if Obama wrecks the economy.
It's the only way we are likely to come back as a party. And if we don't come back as the party, America has no future. Not a nice thing to say on such a temperate website as No Left Turns, but it's the painful truth.
You're probably right, but note that Obama and the Dems have to UNAMBIGUOUSLY wreck the economy. Obama is too pragmatic, I think, to do that. Too slick, if nothing else, to let it be unambiguous. And the problem for temperate conservatives like myself, is we are sort of pledged to not act histrionic about Obama's inevitable failings. For the reasons you give, I DONT wish the Obama administration well, but I feel called upon to do what I can to help heal the ruptured public discourse of America. That means, at a minimum, admitting it when Obama does well by quantifiable measurements, such as the economy. And of course, I with others less fortunate will suffer from an Obama wrecking the economy, so my self-interest and my (immediate) compassion-instincts are against that.
Lo and behold it looks like the NLT comments are working again.
