Happy Birthday Marines!
Posted by Julie Ponzi
As if to punctuate their renowned bravery, some fine young Marines in Lakewood, California demonstrate that duty has nothing to do with simply being "on duty." Semper Fi to the Corps on their birthday today and may it (and we) continue to produce such men as these.

I would expect nothing less from Marines.
I chuckled a little bit near the end, when all the Marines are standing around in a circle talking to the firefighter. It was funny because they were all standing at "Parade Rest," the position in which junior Marines are supposed to stand when addressing superiors. Perfect.
But on a serious note, happy birthday Marine Corps!
Dennis Prager said it beautifully this morning: "The death camps at Auschwitz were liberated by American soldiers . . . not by peace activists." Thanks to the Marines and all American soldiers for their efforts on behalf of peace around the world.
