No Left Turns

CIA station chief in Algeria accused of rapes

Its been snowing all day, at least 10-12 inches. Lovely but dangerous. My Acura got stuck in the deep snow. Wish I had a Hummer. The whole city seems closed down, including the university. Read books on Lincoln in between the two dig-outs I organized. Of course, had plenty of coffee and more than a few CAO Cameroons during the reads. Not a Southern California day, but not bad. Then I saw this headline from

ABC News. Darn it.

Mr. Schramm, I know you don't always update us on every turn of your mood, but it does strike me that this is the first time I can recall you telling us how a day was compromised by a news item. Have there been no missteps or wrongdoings by government representatives or agents during the last 8 or so years? I hope you didn't choose to highlight this item simply (primarily?) because, as the article notes, the suspect is a convert to Islam.

If not, then I join you in finding this to be a grim report that doesn't lift one's spirits.

As for the Hummer, you might want to think twice. Maybe thrice (you'd think it would hold up better than that, no?)

Everybody knows there's a strong link between Arabism and sexual degeneracy (note the stuff about the 70 blackeyed virgins). The only question is whether his degeneracy made him go Arab or it happened the other way around. Which do you think it was Craig?
