Counterinsurgency at Home

Is this the story of Danny and of Danny's friends and of Danny's house?  In Salinas, California "Frustrated city officials are now turning to the military for help, collaborating with combat vets and faculty at the Naval Postgraduate School in nearby Monterey to adapt counter-insurgency techniques that have worked overseas to address gang violence at home. Military software developed to track terrorists is also being used to map crimes and link suspects."

Try terrorists captured abroad at home; use the methods that captured them at home, too, right?

Yay, police state. This is a conspiracy theory though, so it can't be true.

Because of my son's involvement in California High School Rodeo, I have been in the middle of Salinas California a couple of times over the past years. Meaning, spending the a couple of nights in our living quarters trailer at the Salinas Rodeo Grounds. At least one night of the weekend we are awakened by police hellicopters with spolights flying over the rodeo grounds chasing gang members who have robbed, rapped, or murdered someone. It is awful. The innocent, hard working people in Salinas deserve a break. The gang members down there are terrorists.
