I missed
this new year's eve story in the NY Times (Who reads the Times on new year's eve anyway?--Ed.) on why we Americans are more friendly, and probably more happy, than our Brit cousins.

Its just that most Americans don't have cameras on them all day long yet to record their outward signs of frustration and discontent.
