Declaration of Dependence

The Washington Times reports on the record numbers of Americans dependent on the government for some part of their income, explaining: ". . . for the first time since the Great Depression, Americans took more aid from the government than they paid in taxes . . . the tentative revival of consumer spending in the second half of last year appears to have been fed largely by an extraordinary flood of government spending, as growth in other kinds of income has disappeared."

Fortunately, Real Conservative Hero (R) Jim Bunning is trying to put a stop to all this, with his Cheney-esque "Tough Sh**!" approach to those lazy, no-good, no-job bums who come looking for a handout!

(Yep, he really said "Tough Sh**!" and also whined about missing some sports event on his television)

The U.S. Government is running out of other people's money.

They can't run out. They borrow from the Fed who creates it out of thin air. We pay intrest on the loans. All that happens is the currency gets debased more and more, but they will never run out of the money. That is the essantial thing that binds the politicians to the banks and keeps them in their employ.

Isn't Bunning the hero! He's single-handedly taking a whole bunch of people off of the federal teat.
