Governor's Races

Today's
NY Times article on the governor's races could be a very good and instructive article, but instead it is not only too brief, but also stresses the wrong things (for example, that there are slightly more third party candidates than is normal, etc.), although it has a paragraph on why winning governor's mansions will have a political effect for years to come. It should stress the massive political fact that in a state like Oregon (hasn't had a Republican governor in over twenty years) the Republican is leading. The GOP also leads in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Ohio, New Mexico, Wisconsin.
