I suspect Krugman is aware of the actually-existing problems with American infrastructure...

although he'd probably have a good-natured chuckle for the Onion piece.
Maybe, if John Boehner racks his brain a bit, he'll find a way to strip some funding from routine maintenance of the Hoover Dam, and in a decade or so, it could collapse, requiring even more jobs than a deconstruct-reconstruct.
