UN Approves No-Fly Zone - And More

The UN has just adopted a resolution to implement a no-fly zone over Libya in a 10-0 (5 abstentions) vote. The vote can also permit additional necessary measures, if needed.

After former Governor Palin urged the imposition of just such a no-fly zone, the administration trotted out the ever reliable Robert Gates to deride the idea. Yet now Obama and his administration are following the lead given by the former Governor and Szarkozy, and pursuing a policy that they mocked and ridiculed but days before.
Is it any wonder that reports of Hillary being "tired" are circulating?

Too little, too late. I anticipate a full scale UN commission being appointed to set out the parameters for the no fly zone in close cosultation with the dozen members who might, under cover of the UN, actually be in a position to do something. By that time, Qaddafi will have overrun Bengazi and be well into the process of murdering those who rebelled against him and those who sympathized with the rebellion. The question then becomes, "What good would a no fly zone do now?" and the answer is "that ship has sailed."
