Strengthening Constitutional Self-Government

Recalling Reagan

On his 101st anniversary of his birth, consider this reflection on Ronald Reagan's First Inaugural, and compare it will these thoughts on FDR's First Inaugural. You will see encapulated the contrast between liberty and the desire for security. We also realize how difficult it is to make the case for conservatism--to ask for liberty means to undertake responsibilities, and Americans seem to grow weaker by the day.

Note how FDR asks Americans to trust him with extraordinary, even extra-constitutional power. By contrast, Reagan honors ordinary Americans by returning liberty to them.

Another acknowledgement of Reagan's birthday here:

The relevant video of Reagan's and Obama's thoughts on fairness in income tax policies is really worth watching:

(And then you can consider state taxes and how regressive they are as taxes paid as a % of income:

Barack Obama yesterday makes the following statement to Matt “I adore Barack Obama” Lauer of NBC News Stomping Grounds for the Most Intelligent President Ever:
The one reason he hasn’t succeeded in fulfilling his campaign promises to transform the world is that “it turns out our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes.”

President Crackpot proves again liberalism is a mental illness. This Guy supposedly graduated from Harvard with a JD and an emphasis in Constitutional Law. Can we see his grades now? What does President Crackpot think – that he was going to be president, make laws and everyone would have to follow them? We know now that he doesn’t understand the separation of church and state that liberals love so much even though it does not exist in the Constitution, but he really doesn’t understand things like the separation of powers. This guy is dumb. Dumb, dumber and dumbest.

Furthermore, we all cringed yesterday, with the exception of PUMPKIN, at Justice Ruth Ginsberg statement about the Constitution, you know that stupid document that she sworn to uphold as she took her place as a Supreme Court Justice: I would not look to the U.S. Constitution if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012.” Instead, “I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights had an independent judiciary.” She added that “you should certainly be aided by all the constitution-writing that has gone one since the end of World War II.”

Again, this is too easy. Liberalism is a mental illness. This woman has no understanding of her job or the commitment she made the day she sworn to uphold the Constitution. Maybe the Egyptians can put her on their Supreme Court. She can help the Muslim Brotherhood uphold the murder of gays and the abuse of women. I think that is more up her alley.

The press, including NBC News Stomping Grounds for the Most Intelligent President ever, painted Ronald Reagan as stupid, dumb, and incompetent for all of his Presidency.

Ronald Reagan did not have a JD from Harvard in Constitutional Law. He obviously did not have to attend an Ivy Law School to know how that the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, The Bill of Rights, Free Enterprise, Individual Freedom, American Moral and Values, God and Country are the most important aspects of America.

God save us from liberalism. It is truly an incurable disease.
