Perhaps it’s one of God’s little jokes that this monster snowstorm is falling along the Bos-Wash media axis, but if you look outside (it is still snowing hard here in DC as of 9 a.m.) or watch TV, you will notice that the only cars than can manage the roads are evil SUVs. In fact, local hospitals have asked people with SUVs to volunteer to drive doctors and nurses to work.

Don’t be surprised to see the anti-SUV fervor cool dramatically after this week. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go dig out my Jeep Cherokee. It’s going to be a     job.
