A Deeply Mysterious War

John Keegan thinks that this is a "deeply mysterious war." He doesnt understand--by any strategic analysis--why Saddams (or whoever is charge) defensive strategy is so casual, if not careless. He would like an explanation.

It is as if the war was against Saddams body guards, political supporters and Islamic Terrorists... oh wait... it is. I guess the army is closer to Saddams body guards than defense of the country. Of the few fighting, who are not directly interested in the fate of Saddam, the rest are probably doing so on Anti-American sentiment alone.
