I think Alt is pretty much right - but since predicting the same thing as someone else is no fun, I’ll predict that the court hands down a per curiam holding that one of the admissions programs is unconstitutional that makes no sense but is the upshot of at least five Justices separate thinking on the issues. Then we’ll have three or four separate opinions arguing stuff all over the map. No retirements this term.
