Saudi diplomat expelled from UK

The Guardian reports: "Britain has expelled a Saudi diplomat, described as an intelligence officer, after allegations that he bribed a Metropolitan police officer.
Ali al-Shamarani is alleged to have paid PC Ghazi Ahmed Kassim, 52, to obtain confidential information from police computers about people with Middle Eastern connections living in the UK." Maybe this is just an isolated incident, a small time operation. Maybe.

It is possible that this was a small time operation maybe.
PC Kassims ex wife was an employee of the Libyan embassy, when pc Yvonne Fletcher was murdered.
He also claims to have been a member of an organistion in Yeman (his country of origin) that killed british soldiers.
was he not vetted when he joined the Met ?
His family has some rather dubious connections.

I hope this was small time.
How many other moslem policeman, will put their loyalty to their religion before their country - THE UK ?
