Is longer human life span worth it?

Scientists are reporting this as a result of their experiments on worms: "Further genetic interference of mutation-carrying worms, plus the removal of their reproductive systems, produced lifespans six times longer than normal."

Im confident that all NLT readers will join me in condemning this horrific example of animal experimentation. Not only does this scientific research clearly threaten the lives of countless innocent worms, but, if successful, it would also deny employment to billions of their descendants.
Er... indirect descendants...
I didnt even know worms had reproductive systems. I thought they just, yknow, formed...
