and the Yankees (gulp) lost. I must admit, once the Cubs, Red Sox, Giants, Twins and Braves were eliminated, I really didn’t care who won, but congrats to Josh Beckett, a boy among men and he pulled it off.

And I, being a Yankee fan, have to admit that the Red Sox, Cubs and Marlins were and are better than the Yanks.
The Yankees need to make a lot of changes to continue competing at the level they have over the last six/ seven seasons.
Silly rabbit... If the Red Sox "were and are" better than the Yanks, they would have been in the World Series representing the AL.
Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.... Frankly, the Yankees were lucky to win the Series. I am a Yankees fan, I am only being objective and truthful about what I saw. I cannot honestly say the Yankees were better than the Sox, not this year.
