Bobby Jindal

Bobby Jindal is still ahead in the governors race in Lousiana (46-42%) although the race has tightened during the last few days, according to tracking polls. The election is Saturday. Worth watching. It will be fun to see how Democrats react if they lose another governors mansion in the South.

I just read the WaPo frontpage special on the Democrats problems in the south. The writer says to just forget the south and go for the "new southwest" etc... instead, or risk making Roves "realignment" theory become reality.
The story leans heavily on Gores success in 2000, yet nowhere does it mention 911, the concern for defense or even the economy issue. I guess when it comes to Democrats those sorts of things really arent important as just finding the right place where folks will cast their ballots for Democrats... just because theyre Democrats! Hmm...
These Democrats are in big, big trouble. :)
