Jessice Lynch and women in combat

Elaine Donnelly uses the Jessica Lynch story to argue against women in combat, and lays much of the blame on the Clinton administration. While I am inclined to agree with Donnelly, Phil Carter doesn’t let her get away with anything, either her general point, or her facts. In doing this he explains briefly (and as clearly as I have ever seen) what happened to the 507th Maintianence Company and how the Company Commander made some very grave mistakes. There are some good links in Carter’s article that are worth looking at, including the Army’ After Action Review.
