Ruth Wedgewood, a prof at Johns Hopkins, writes a sober op-ed on Padilla case and criticizes the Second Cicuit’s opinion. She asks: "What is the government to do, for example, when it knows of catastrophic threats or dangers to Americans through intelligence sources, yet is unable to prove its case in a criminal trial against those planning such attacks.
