Legitimate dissent against the government is a basic premise of free speech and self-government, but the pictures of "Hanoi Jane" that were shown last night literally made me sick to my stomach. My wife knows a bit less about history and asked incredulously, "Are those the communists Fonda is with?" I just shook my head.

I have to be very careful when I start thinking about Jane Fonda and what she was up to during that period (which I remember well). There are few people I dislike, she is one of them. Some things are not possible to forgive.
