Brinkley as PR flack for Kerry

Alex Beam, writing in the Boston Globe, considers the historian Douglas Brinkley’s role in the Kerry-for-president machine: he thinks Brinkley is a PR flack for Kerry, and is no longer a historian.

Apparently Brinkley wants to be the Kerry administrations Arthur Schlesinger, Jr.
I thought that we were only supposed to attack scholars like VD Hanson for getting involved in politics and influencing politicians intellectually. Oh, yeah, I forgot that only applies to conservatives! Silly me!
